Until now, in the interest of speed, the meshes created by Archimatix have been just meshes drawn to the screen. Now, when you release a handle or slider, GameObjects are created with colliders and lightmapping UVs added automatically.
While dragging a handle or slider, the meshes are still rendered without GameObjects, so the parametric variations are still executed in realtime with a high frame rate. Coming in the next day or so will be the ability to choose how to combine meshes per ParametricObject.
These two models, generated from the same AXModel, are lightmapped. You will be able to lock a model so that it does not inadvertently get re-generated (and loose its lightmap) until you are ready to play with it some more.
