This structure is made a column and rib iterated along a shape. The roof uses the same plan shape and a section profile, which is a modified version of the rib profile.
The columns are instances, but, to avoid a repeating texture pattern, rotated using a noise function. This randomized rotation can be disabled. For example, if they are not circular or bear some repeating insignia such as a crest or coat of arms, etc.
What better way to get to know a building than a good’ole worms-eye view…
Once an Archimatix model has been authored, it is a joy to play with. Especially when changing the plan shape to generated unexpected and beautiful forms. Here, the simple bi-apsidial plan shape was modified to add more parametric curves.

This is a permutation the Equatorial Hall of Heroes model. The plan code was altered to allow the shape to attenuate and curve.
Not sure what it is, but it is interesting. It looked like it needed a desert setting…
And only nine palettes!
